Hi all,
My name is Chelsea Hiers and I am a fifth year student at CSULB majoring in marketing. This first post will be dedicated to describing my background and from the next post on I will post about more current events in my life.
I was born and raised in Long Beach, CA which is also where I currently reside. I absolutely love socal and will probably never leave. I am an only child who grew up in a home with my mom, dad, and little white dog named Sparky.
I was 16 years old when my parents divorced, and I continued living with my dad as my mom found herself a studio apartment in Long Beach not too far away. I was 21 years old when I moved out on my own. I found an apartment in Long Beach that I lived in for a year with a friend I had known since high school. That being said, I lived at home for my first three years of college and have been living off-campus with friends ever since.
My fourth year of college I made the best decision of my college life by joining a sorority, Gamma Phi Beta. I immediately had a family of 100 sisters which was amazing for me who grew up as an only child. I immediately felt more connected with school by attending sporting events with my sisters, setting up study groups, having exchanges with fraternities, being involved in philanthropy events, and having open house parties at our Gamma Phi house which always have a theme based on the current month or season.
Beginning my fifth year of college I moved into a home with three girlfriends. So far this has been a very good year and the biggest thing I look forward to is graduation in just four months!
